The Light Fantastic

This Solo Art Exhibition of mine The Light Fantastic included alot of new work. A practical learning exercise in colour making and painting for me. I had done a large series of A3 collages, and from these I based my paintings.

I painted onto various sizes of canvases, using acrylic paint. All the colours I made and used were mixed by only using the basic 3 primary colours, and white.

I came up with the title for the show, as I felt it fitted with the many colours and hues of my new work.

This was also a joint solo exhibition – Brenda Clarke, an airbrush artist, showed in the adjoining room. We both knew Carmel Baker, so we got her to open the exhibition for us. It was a great night.
